This Day in History: Feb. 27, 1960

Today in 1960, the underdog team, The US Olympic team beat the Soviet Union in the semifinals at the Winter Games in Squaw Valley, California. The next day, the US goes on to beat Czechoslovakia to win its first ever gold medal in hockey.
