March madness is born with The University of Oregon's basketball team defeating The Ohio State University's team 46-33 in 1939. This win put them in the history books as the first NCAA champs.
Back to the current 2009 season...
The sweet sixteen are quickly being narrowed down to the elite eight. Pittsburgh and Villanova both fresh off of last nights wins will face off on Saturday. The same is true of Connecticut and Missouri.
Tonight Louisville plays Arizona, Kansas faces Michigan State, North Carolina plays Gonzaga and Syracuse faces Oklahoma.
