Hype Worthy Trends of 2009

Fashion is constantly changing. As soon as you find a trend you like, that fits with your style it's sometimes on the door out. Here is a sneak peek at what you can expect to see more of on the runway and on the racks for the days to come. These new trends are worth the hype as they are made to stay "in".

Large vertical stripes are persistent about replacing pinstripes in the fashion world. Fuller stripes allow you to play around with your wardrobe more. This example is from the Robert Geller's spring/summer '09 collection, which was nominated Robert Geller as menswear designer of the year.

Plunging necklines aren't just for the ladies anymore. This year designers are using rounded and angular deep necklines that fall to mid-chest level on the runway. Designer Yigal Azrouel demonstrated in his spring/summer '09 look why they will be big with the above effortlessly cool look.

The double breasted jacket is returning from the 60's to gentleman's apparel. The fomality of the double breasted jacket will keep it alive in 09. Pick one up like this Banana Republic blazer at fine men's retailers everywhere.

Scarves are easy, simple and can be paired with almost anything. Adding this simple accessory with jeans, hoodie or even formal wear is a great way to create a look all your own.

Another simple accessory you can add to you day and night look is the cufflink. You see them on the runway, you see them at all the award shows, now add them to you cuffs for a look that says I know fashion. Cufflinks are a staple, not a trend that comes and goes.
